About CAEPA

In 2011 in Bamenda- North West Region of Cameroon, a group of women seeking to improve their agricultural production systems, especially by making them environmentally friendly and sustainable founded the Community Agriculture and Environmental Protection Association of Cameroon. Our intention is to improve agricultural management, enhanced practices, a better seed that have higher yields, and how we can provide training to rural women to improve their harvest yields, crop quality, and plant uniformity. Additionally, we seek to save water, reduce fertilizer and pesticide use, and improve women’s largest investment, in their families and farm. lately, we realized there is a connection between land degradation, poverty, violence against women, and HIV and AIDS. We included fighting against violence in the programs. Today, in order to respond adequately to the specific needs of each woman, our organization considers the intersectionality between different axes of discrimination (age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnic belonging, religion, health condition, legal or administrative status, among others).
