CAEPA Cameroon needs the services of all volunteers from any country, with no barriers to age, sex or color, who can help in rural development in the continuation of existing projects towards the wellbeing of communities. Volunteer contributions are welcome no matter how short or long you will want to stay. Do not overwhelm yourself or the community with large and timely projects. Environmental Educator
Community Agriculture & Environmental Protection Association (CAEPA) reaches out to the rural poor by disseminating information and promoting education to acquire sustainable solutions in health, agriculture and the environment. CAEPAs various objectives range from enhancing crop and livestock production to introducing environmentally friendly practices into the communities.
Volunteers will contribute to the fight against environmental destruction and to mitigating the effects of climate change through the creation of school and community environmental clubs. They will create an awareness of urgent environmental issues and empower people to participate. Volunteers will travel to different schools and areas with persisting environmental problems, conduct surveys and analyze the findings. Another task will be teaching farmers and community groups about integrating agroforestry tree species into their farming systems.
Volunteers are required to have studied Environmental Science and be able to identify environmental degradational practices. Volunteers should have knowledge in agroforestry and know-how in improving agricultural yields. Volunteer opportunity for Nurses and health personnel’s
Volunteers will create awareness on HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) amongst youth in three communities and four secondary schools within the Bamenda and Balikumbat council areas. They will provide educational resources about the consequences of HIV/AIDS and STIs and information on how to avoid contracting them. The aim of the program is to empower children and young people to make informed choices regarding their sexual health. The methods that can be used for the campaign vary from sports activities over mobile video shows and theatre to the production of posters or leaflets and holding school quiz competitions.
Volunteerss will also do routine office work and get involved in other areas like Gender, Capacity Building and Wealth Creation. Time permitting, fundraising in the Volunteers’ home country before the program starts would be greatly appreciated.
Volunteers require computer and report writing skills, public speaking experience, arts/drawing skills, thematical knowledge of HIV/AIDS, good English skills (spoken and written) and experience in social work and education. Knowledge on surveys to evaluate the activities, especially concerning HIV/AIDS information campaigns, would be an asset.
IT Volunteer
Volunteers will support the organization in maintaining its website and in producing diverse public relations and marketing material. For this, they will take pictures of and film various events organized by CAEPA Cameroon and edit the material themselves. Volunteers will also contribute in producing the organization’s monthly printed magazine and work on resource mobilization, especially fundraising for the CAEPA Cameroon projects. CAEPA Cameroon expects participants to have a good command of spoken and written English. Prior experience in video shooting, editing, photography as well as web design and/or web development is required.

Community Development Volunteer
Volunteers will participate in implementing adult education programs and organize activities to promote the programs as an effective tool to gain employment. Another task of the interns will be motivating young people to become active in the education programs. They also can contribute to the organisation´s work by conducting research and thus highlighting community problems and proposing solutions during social events. Through the exchange of ideas and experiences, CAEPA Cameroon wants volunteers to foster community development projects and consequently to participate in facilitating such endeavours. Volunteers need an education background and experience with implementing education programs. Specific skills like project-writing, fundraising and project management will be helpful. Child Care Volunteer
CAEPA Cameroon is looking for volunteers to oversee and manage the Orphans and Vulnerable children project. CAEPA Cameroon currently provides for 50 orphans and destitute children. However, the application we have is above 500 but due to limited funding we are unable to add more children. Volunteers will have plans to enhance sponsorship of the programme and also to encourage further sponsors and to increase fund raising.Volunteer will be required to live and work in Bamenda, Cameroon for any length of time as a contribution to bettering the lives of these children.
