Social Affairs

The Component of social affairs looks at the socio-economic situation of marginalized groups such as women, youths, orphans and vulnerable children in communities. This component engages concrete actions to improve on the health situation of marginalized groups and also addresses the educational needs of socially disadvantaged children particularly orphans and vulnerable children in the North West Region.

Additionally, the continued education and awareness creation in communities on HIV/AIDS is amongst the activities of CAEPA Cameroon. Thirty eight women living with HIV/AIDS received training on leadership and business skills development especially on record keeping, marketing, business planning etc. These women also receive educative talks on HIV/AIDs basics and positive living especially the importance of the CD4 test and adherence to treatment.

Some women living with HIV/AIDS will be benefiting from the educational support project of CAEPA Cameroon to enable them to further their education. The children of these women are not left out as they too benefit from educational support like school fees, books, pens, pencils, etc. Within the framework of the orphan and vulnerable children, CAEPA Cameroon is collaborating with other partners to give educational assistance in the form of school materials, registration fees to enable them access basic education.
