CAEPA Cameroon works with farmers in the rural areas to improve on their production and productivity. In collaboration with the government department (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), we have facilitated the organization / re-organization and capacity building of farmers on conservation/agroforestry, tree nursery and tree planting techniques, improved oil palm production, food grain storage, potato storage techniques, pig husbandry, natural crop protection, beekeeping, group management and marketing techniques in Bafut subdivision of the North West Region of Cameroon.
We are building the capacity of unions and federation on leadership, internal resource mobilization and project proposal writing.on. Farmers in CAEPA Cameroon’s areas of intervention were supported to increase their yields through technical advice especially on integrating trees in their farming systems of which 25 farming group leaders were trained on reforestation and agroforestry techniques.

CAEPA Cameroon also trains community members on alternative livelihood activities like plantain multiplication. Five farmer groups have benefited from this training with the multiplication of over 15,000 plantlets. Many more groups are still to benefit from this training in the future. CAEPA Cameroon also trains farmers in the domain of poultry and pig farming.
